Deanna Emmerson, RMT
My name is Deanna, and I believe that it is time for you to stop carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders. I want to relieve the pain in your upper body and help you to relax.
I received my Diploma in Massage Therapy from the Royal Canadian College of Massage in Toronto, Ontario. I have been in practise since 2013.
I focus on the management of chronic and recurring pain in the head, neck, shoulders and back, as well as the associated structures of the face, jaw, arms and hands.
Many of my clients suffer from constant postural problems in their work. Others are coping with the long-term effects of injuries, accidents, or conditions such as arthritis, disc degeneration, scoliosis, and TMJ dysfunction.
I specialize in tension headaches, migraines, chronic neck pain, and stubborn “knots” in between the shoulders.
I am primarily a deep tissue therapist. Influenced by shiatsu, my work is typically slow, deep, methodical, and specific. I often incorporate trigger point release, percussive techniques, and assisted stretches, and am always happy to suggest some home-care options to further improve your outcomes.
I believe in the mind-body connection. Your relaxation is vital to your muscular healing. It is important to me that even a very deep massage be a restful and relaxing therapeutic experience for you.
I look forward to helping you feel better.
